In historic art pieces depicting multiple humans, there is a law that at least one of those humans will look like they have no clue how or why they got there. It's like Where's Waldo, except instead of looking for Waldo you're looking for the dude that looks like he just dropped acid.

In The Dark Night (2008), there are several night scenes which are very dark. I'm not sure which one the movie title is referring to.

In Borderlands 2, if you take too long to defeat the W4rd3n at the Bloodshot Ramparts, either by dying too many times or waiting around, it will escape and take Roland to another map, Friendship Gulch. You will need to chase after it and defeat it there to rescue Roland.

In Borderlands, Brick wears a single dog paw around his neck. He adds another one in 2, and a third one in 3. They reference the three dogs he has owned: Priscilla his childhood pet, Dusty the dog he owned before Borderlands 2, and Tahoe, a new dog he got before Borderlands 3.

In Borderlands 3, Penn and Teller appear as the bosses "Pain and Terror" on Pandora. Just like their IRL magic act, only Penn speaks, Teller has no speaking lines- Terror's mouth is sewn shut. Instead, Teller voices a minor NPC on a different planet, Promethea.

In Sinners (2025), the twins clothing reflect the gangs they joined in Chicago. Stack is wearing a fedora and a pinstripe suit, referencing the Italians who controlled the South Side, while Smoke wears a scalley cap and a tweed suit, referencing the Irish who controlled the North Side.
